Enjoy an afternoon of drawing in the varied landscape of Gunnersbury Park set in 185 acres of parkland that includes a mansion, orangery, temple, lake and flowerbeds. Take inspiration from both the natural and man-made environment or respond to a set drawing and painting brief centred on abstract landscapes…
Our second Arty In The Park session takes place in Gunnersbury Park in Ealing – explore the park and its buildings and features and create work in response. The museum may be reopened by the time our session takes place and you’ll have time to visit if you wish. Tutor input and assistance will be there for you as always.
You will also have an opportunity to work with a set drawing and painting brief which focuses on creating an abstract landscape…

Our meeting point will be confirmed along with your course info and materials list which you’ll receive upon booking.
Course level: intermediate / advanced – some drawing skills essential. If you’re a beginner, please look at our Learn to draw course. The session may involve walking and standing for some time as well as sketching outdoors, so please only consider joining the course if you are physically able to do so.
Course materials: You will need a sketchbook (A4 or A3) and drawing materials. You may also want to bring your watercolour kits if you have one. We will provide you with a suggested materials list once you’ve booked your place.
Your course tutor: Mario Lautier Vella has been teaching art since 2011. A qualified art tutor and professional artist his award-winning work has been shown in a number of exhibitions both in the UK and abroad. His work can be found in collections across the UK, the Netherlands, Malta, North America, Australia, and Canada. Find out more
