Join us for a morning visit to the Cezanne exhibition at Tate Modern followed by lunch at a local restaurant

Regarded as a pioneer of modern art, Cezanne (1839-1906) experimented with, and challenged, traditional ways of drawing and painting, working with visual elements such as colour, brushwork, volume and perspective in innovative ways.

Cezanne – Scipio (1867)

Dubbed, ‘the greatest of us all’ by Monet, this new retrospective exhibition tracks Cezanne’s motivations and developments and features drawings and paintings that reveal the ideas and influences that shaped his practice, the effects the Paris art scene and the Impressionists had on his work, as well as his inspiration on his peers and other artists that followed…

After our visit to the exhibition, there is the option to join us for lunch at Italian restaurant Zizzi which is a short walk away from Tate Modern.
