Join us for a morning visit to the new exhibition of drawings followed by lunch at a local eaterie
Discover drawings made by some of the most important and influential artists of the 19th Century, including Degas, Toulouse-Lautrec, Seurat, Van Gogh and Monet. Consider how their drawings influenced other aspects of their practice and allowed them to shape their art further including working with non-local colour palettes and more avant-garde compositions.
There will be ample time to enjoy the exhibition plus the permanent displays at The Royal Academy as well as other temporary exhibitions, or sketch in the space.
After our visit to the gallery, there is the option to join us for lunch at The Crypt Cafe in Trafalgar Square (approx. 10-15 minute walk away).

Event details
We will meet outside the entrance to The Royal Academy at 9.50am with view to entering the exhibition at 10am.
The Social is free. However, you will need to pay for:
- Your travel to and from The Royal Academy (nearest Tube stations – Piccadilly Circus or Green Park)
- Your meal and drinks at the restaurant.

– Tickets for the exhibition are available to buy now – more info will be sent to you once you’ve confirmed your place
– Please let us know if you intend to come to the exhibition and lunch or just the lunch
– If you want to join us later in the morning, we can see you in the exhibition or afterwards at lunch – but please let us know you’re coming especially if you want to join us for lunch
– You can also join us for just the gallery visit part of the event if you don’t want to come for lunch afterwards
