Be inspired by the Mediterranean island of Malta – enjoy beautiful spring sunshine, colourful Easter celebrations, sketching, sight-seeing and studio sessions.
Enjoy a 9 day drawing and painting holiday in Malta- 6 full days of art research and studio time (10am-7pm) including tuition, sightseeing, sketching / research time in the morning and early afternoon, then studio sessions starting in late afternoon through to early evening
- 3 days to relax, explore or sketch in your own time or join us on optional cultural trips to the local Good Friday and Easter Sunday celebrations including traditional street processions (pictured)
- Make work in a professional artist studio which includes easels, boards, storage, air conditioning and courtesy tea and coffee
- Studio sessions are from 4pm-7pm, Monday 15th – Thursday 18th; Monday 22nd April and all day on our final day, Tuesday 23rd (9.30am – 12.30pm + 4pm-7pm). There are no studio sessions on Good Friday 20th April, Saturday 21st April and Easter Sunday 22nd April
- The course is limited to 8 students, allowing you to enjoy plenty of personal tuition in a small, friendly group environment.

- Friends or partners that want to join us during the day but not use the studio i.e your+1s cost £350 (limited number of places)
- The holiday will include a lot of walking so you / +1s must be able to walk / stand for a long duration and be prepared to sketch outdoors. We will also be travelling using public transport

Your course tutor: professional artist and qualified art tutor Mario Lautier Vella was born in Malta. Thoroughly familiar with Malta’s language, locations, customs and way of life, the island, its art and culture continues to inspire his own studio practice. Mario has already run two successful art holidays to Malta to date and is always on hand to provide extensive insider knowledge and a stimulating, fun experience for his students.
