Enjoy two full days exploring how to use a sketchbook both in the studio and whilst out and about – from preliminary sketches to completed works, research, experiments and much more…

Discover the benefits of keeping a sketchbook as part of your art practice, working with drawing, painting, collage and mixed-media techniques to record, develop and reflect on your ideas and imagery.

This two day workshop combines presentations, practical exercises and 1-2-1 tuition – we will discuss how artists use sketchbooks before starting our own with a series of drawing exercises,

The workshop will take place in our studio space and outdoors as we explore and respond to our local neighbourhood as another starting point. You will also have the opportunity to develop these initial pieces further in our sketchbooks or on a larger scale.

Or use the workshop to reflect on your current practice and the themes and ideas you enjoy working with and see how your sketchbook can help you push your creativity further or become an art piece in itself…
