Assignment: Umbrella Day
Our theme this week was a series of nude models posing with an umbrella.
An umbrella brings something interesting and unique when seen next to a nude figure – whether open or closed, its shape varies differently from the human figure and provides an interesting contrast to explore – in some instances the umbrella can be simplified into a simple shape or hybrid shape, whilst in other poses / positions, it can suddenly appear complex. The umbrella’s size / proportion / scale as well as the pose and position of the umbrella are other considerations.
