Explore figurative and abstract approaches natural vistas. Respond to ideas around location, space and mood and experiment with drawing, painting, collage and more…
This step-by-step course combines key theory, demonstrations and practical exercises delivered via Zoom.
Topics covered include mark-making and swatching, colour theory, realistic and non-realistic approaches as well as a variety of drawing and painting techniques for you to explore. We will also look at the work of a number of historic and contemporary artists for more inspiration.
You’ll have time to practise during the session and afterwards for homework. As the course progresses, submit your work to our online gallery and see how your fellow artists are also progressing.
Course level: the course is suitable for both beginners and artists with previous art-making experience. If you are unsure of your suitability for the course, please get in touch. A course materials list will be provided after you’ve enrolled.
Your course tutor: Mario Lautier-Vella has been teaching art since starting his teaching career in 2011.
