An afternoon workshop dedicated to starting life drawing or refreshing existing skills that’s packed with handy tips and techniques…
Explore different ways of drawing the nude body with confidence using a number of techniques that concentrate on anatomy, proportion, structure as well as your own personal expression. We will be working with a live nude model throughout the session.

Watford Museum is approximately 5 minutes walk from Watford High Street station (Overground), and approximately 20 minutes walk from Watford tube station (Metropolitan Line) and Watford Junction station (National Rail). There is limited parking at the Museum and in the neighbouring streets. However there are a number of public car parks a short distance away. See map

Course level: beginners or anyone who wants to refresh their life drawing skills. Drawing experience useful- if you’re a newcomer to art, we recommend you do our Learn to draw course first.
Course materials: Basic drawing materials and paper will be provided.
Your course tutor: Mario Lautier Vella has been teaching life drawing for a number of years, helping artists of all levels develop their skills further. Life drawing is a key part of his own art practice and has inspired a number of drawings and paintings that have been exhibited both in the UK and abroad.
