An afternoon workshop centred on longer poses, giving you plenty of time to create a series of rapid-response pieces or detailed work, portraits and more…
Working with a nude male model, we’ll begin the session with some quick warm-up poses. We’ll then settle into some longer poses (1 x25 minutes pose, 1 x 40 minutes pose, 1 70 minutes pose), allowing you more time to look and respond…
Working with drawing, painting or mixed media, take the opportunity to develop your observational skills, focus on foreshortening, explore anatomy or venture into abstraction – the choice is yours. A tutor will be hand to help you as required.
Venue: The Fine Art Room – Northfields
Your course takes place at Northfields Community Centre.
Northfields Community Centre is located at 71A Northcroft Rd, London, W13 9SS.
The centre is approximately 5 minutes walk from Northfields Tube station (Piccadilly Line). Local bus routes: E2 or E3. There are a few parking spaces available at the centre but these cannot be reserved / guaranteed. Parking restrictions are in place close to the Centre but free parking is available in streets a short distance away. See map

Course materials: in accordance with current safety guidance, attendees will need to bring their own materials – a materials list will be sent to you upon enrolment. Due to venue restrictions, oil paints are not permitted. Paper will be provided.
Your course tutor: Mario Lautier Vella has been teaching life drawing for a number of years, helping artists of all levels develop their skills further. Life drawing is a key part of his own art practice and has inspired a number of drawings and paintings that have been exhibited both in the UK and abroad.
